Don’t be caught off guard with Father’s Day looming just around the corner! DJI is running a great sale for drones, accessories and more in honor of Father’s Day. Get Dad what he really wants for Father’s Day! Along with the great deals from DJI, I’ve thrown in some drones and accessories that should be included in your gift ideas for dad 🙂

DJI Mavic Pro
DJI Mavic Pro

$100 OFF - Mavic Pro ($150 Off Fly More Combo)

To put it plainly, the Mavic Pro is a beast. This is the drone that I personally fly, and have been flying for nearly a year. I’ve wrote an Extensive Review for the Mavic Pro going over the top features, pros and cons, as well as showing video examples taken from it. The Mavic Pro shoots 4K videos, streams live HD footage to your smart device, has a 3-axis Gimbal to stabilize your videos, 2 Directional Sensors for obstacle avoidance, a 12 Megapixel camera and comes with an array of impressive flight features. The mavic pro is incredibly compact, making it the perfect traveling companion whether you’re hiking, biking, or off exploring new areas. Dad won’t be disappointed.

DJI Spark
DJI Spark

$174 OFF - Spark Fly More Combo

The Spark is capable of shooting stabilized 1080HD footage, thanks to a 2-axis gimbal and it’s HD camera. The camera shoots 12 megapixel stillshots and records up to 1080HD footage. The Spark is small enough to fit into your pocket, but strong enough to fly for 16 minutes and stream to your smart phone when 2km away! The Spark is fully loaded with multiple panoramic capture modes, automatic takeoff and landing, follow me flight modes, return to home and hand-gesture flying. Nanuk Hardcase for Mavic and Spark

These cases are amazing. They are best described as being “like the cases they use for the nuclear launch codes”. The Nanuk case has a high quality build, compact design, and a locking mechanism to keep it sealed from water, dirt, dust, etc. Right away it’s easy to tell what this case was built for. It’s incredibly durable, compact, easy to carry/load, and has a tight fit to secure my drone components. The Nanuk is the perfect case for anyone that’s looking to take their drone to the outdoors or on a trip abroad. It’s waterproof, dust proof and comes with a pressure valve to keep any and everything inside of it safe. The custom foam cuts keep the drone and a handful of accessories completely immobile and secure. If you’re looking for more reasons to buy this case, check out the in-depth review we did in our first few weeks with it.

If you’re looking for something slightly less expensive than the Mavic Air, but with nearly as much bang, you’ll want the Mavic Air. The Mavic Air is the latest drone to be released by DJI and like the others before it, it doesn’t disappoint. This drone is slightly smaller than the Mavic Pro, making it perfect for travel, packing, and carrying around. The Mavic Air is packed with an impressive camera boasting 12 megapixel still-shots, 4K Videos and 32 megapixel panoramic shots. Not only is the camera impressive, but this little drone is packed with loads of automated features, a 3-Axis Gimbal for stabilizing shots, 3 Directional Sensors for obstacle avoidance, and smart phone live-streaming. Phantom 4 Pro

$45 OFF - Phantom 4 Pro V2.0

The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is the mac daddy of drones. The Phantom 4 Pro has a 30 minute flight time, films 4K @ 60fps, has 5 directional sensors for obstacle avoidance, and a 7km transmission range. This drone is unreal. The Phantom Pro doesn’t fold up like the Spark or Mavic series drones, but thats easy to overlook when looking at it’s full list of features. The Phantom 4 Pro can shoot 20megapixel stillshots and 4K video at 60 FPS which is unbeatable at this price range. It comes equipped with the same automated flight features as the Mavic and Spark series drones. The remote is much bigger for the Phantom series, but is very easy to use and can even hold an iPad for streaming flights. Gifting this to dad for Father’s Day would clearly make you his favorite child….

X Star Premium
Phantom 4 Pro Black

X STAR PREMIUM

If you want to give your dad a great drone and camera for Father’s Day, you want the X Star Premium. The gimbal and camera from this drone are removable allowing you to carry them as a handheld camera for any adventures. The biggest issue with most people’s videos is the lack of stabilization. This drone and camera setup solve that issue. The X Star Premium can film in 4K resolution, flies for 25 minutes, and a 12 megapixel camera. One great feature for the X Star’s is the capability to restrict flight speeds and height. If your father is a beginner, it’s great to know he could restrict his flight and stay in his own comfort zone. The X Star Premium is ideal for anyone looking for both an impressive, stabilized, handheld camera as well a capable drone.

Propellers

Propellers are generally the first piece of your drone to become compromised. They are extremely crucial in a safe flight, and should be looked at thoroughly before each flight. It’s never a bad idea to have an extra pair or two of propellers laying around. If you or your dad are flying a DJI drone, I highly recommend looking into the quiet flight propellers.

battery

Batteries

You can never go wrong with picking up more batteries. More batteries means more time in the sky! If you aren’t sure what batteries you need to pick up, let me know and I can help you find the right ones for your father’s drone.
